There was also a store selling Taiwanese tea at the Chenggong Market. Taiwan has a tea drinking culture similar to that of Japan, and this is where tea is produced. The production areas are located in various parts of the island, each with its own specialties. For example, the famous "Dong Ding Oolong Tea" was originally grown in Lu Gu Township, Nantou County. I am not sure if it is true or not, but Taiwanese tea is so good that some people say that Taiwanese tea is better quality than mainland Chinese tea. One of the reasons I came to Taiwan was to buy Taiwanese tea.
The man with the apron in the photo was selling Taiwanese tea at a corner of the market. When I came in front of the store, the man was offering customers to taste the tea. The man handed a small paper cup to the customer and began to give a sales talk with exaggerated gestures. The customer was listening to the sales talk with a look of understanding or not as he sipped tea from the paper cup. The man was speaking in Chinese, so I could not understand what he was saying, but I could feel his enthusiasm.
