There was a peaceful atmosphere in the alley near Yangon Central Station. As I walked, I met many residents relaxing in the alleys. I would come across people washing dishes, doing laundry, or just chatting. There were hardly any men to be seen, and it seemed that only women and children were in the area during the day. The men are probably working for their families somewhere.
The mother in the photo and a young boy were also standing in the alley. The boy was completely covered with bubbles on his body. The mother was pouring water on the boy. The boy was in the middle of being washed by his mother. He was probably too young to wash himself by himself. Even though the alley looked peaceful, the mothers were busy. They have many chores to do. Washing their children's bodies must be an important part of their daily routine.
