It was the last day of my stay in Taiwan. I had to fly back to Tokyo in the afternoon. After shopping for souvenirs in the city center, I headed to a local market called Chenggong Market. I've already been to this market once during my stay in Taiwan, and its local atmosphere was a good way to end my stay.
The market next to the housing estate was as crowded as ever. Since I already bought some souvenirs, I didn't have anything in particular to buy at this market. I was walking around in the local atmosphere, watching people working and selling their wares. Eventually, I came to a shop selling sweets. They sold jellies that looked like Aiyu jelly. There were several bowls of jelly on the table. And a woman wearing a beret was just in the middle of buying them. The woman seemed to be very happy with her purchase.
In any country, sweet food makes people happy. However, too much of it can lead to obesity.
