As soon as I stepped outside the Chenggong Market, I was immediately on the site of an apartment complex. There is a square in the center, surrounded by residential buildings. The complex is very convenient because there is a market where various things are sold within a few minutes' walk. If you want to buy something, you can go there right away.
Even though there is a market selling fresh food just a few minutes away, there was also a grocery store on the estate's premises. Perhaps some people find it a hassle to even walk a few minutes to the market. In any case, the greengrocers that operated on the estate's premises also had a variety of vegetables on display in a haphazard manner. It was not as crowded as the market's greengrocers, but it was crowded in its own way.
While I was browsing, an elderly woman wearing glasses appeared and walked past me. She seemed completely uninterested in the vegetables sold at the grocery store, and walked with her eyes straight ahead. In contrast to this woman's indifference, the men I could see inside the store were eagerly inspecting the vegetables.
