While walking through an open-air market in Yangon, I came to a butcher shop. There were several chickens lying on the table. Of course, Myanmar people eat beef and pork, but chicken seems to be their favorite. Its consumption is far greater than that of the other two. As a result, when walking through the market, you will often see butcher shops selling chicken.
A man with a beard and orange apron has a round wooden chopping board in front of him; he grabs one, puts it on top, and begins to process it with a bored look. From the look on his face, the man does not seem to be enjoying his job as a butcher very much. It is as if he thinks that what he should be doing is something else, not butchering chickens day in and day out. Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple, said in his commencement address at Stanford University.
If today is the last day of your life, is what you are about to do really what you want to do?
This butcher man may have been thinking the same way.
