While it is nice to look at the meats for sale at the butcher shops in the market, it is much more enjoyable to look at the prepared foods at the delicatessens. Even here at Chenggong Market, there are a number of delicatessen shops open for business, and the area around the delicatessen is filled with delicious smells. Many Chinese dishes are familiar to me as a Japanese, and I can imagine what they taste like even if I have never eaten them before. Taiwanese Chinese food is especially suited to the Japanese palate. It is less oily than Chinese food on the mainland.
All the delicacies sold at this delicatessen look delicious. Looking at them makes me want to eat them, but it is not a good idea. If I ate here, I would be unable to eat dinner. If we try our best, we can visit many places in a limited time. But no matter how hard we try, there is a limit to how much we can eat in a limited amount of time. It is impossible to eat five or six meals a day. Thinking calmly, I suppressed my appetite and left the store without buying anything.
