I made my way to near the Daqiaotou and entered a store selling tea. During my stay in Taiwan, visiting tea stores had become almost a daily routine. Everywhere I went, the shelves were stocked with a wide variety of Chinese teas. The price range is wide, from affordable to eye-poppingly expensive.
This store was no exception. A number of cans lay haphazardly on the floor. Each can was filled with a heaping pile of tea leaves.
The store was bustling with activity. The clerks were busy going about their business, and it was difficult to catch them. I had no choice but to go back and forth between the tins full of tea leaves for a while. I was imagining the story behind each can.
