As I made my way through the residential areas of Jakarta, I came across another food stall. A colorful parasol that I would only see on the beach in Japan was set up on the side of the road, and a table was placed underneath it. On the table were several plastic containers. Each one was filled with prepared foods, making it look like a deli.
The paper on the side of the table also had the same color combination as the parasol, though I don't know if it was a conscious effort to match the colors. At a quick glance, the parasol and the table match each other very well. It would have been perfect if there were customers coming to buy prepared foods. Unfortunately, there were no customers. There was only one motorcycle parked near the table.
The owner of the stall, again, was not around the table where the goods were placed. She was sitting on a chair in a narrow alley behind the table, staring at her phone. She had taken off her shoes and was completely relaxed with her feet stretched out on the wall in front of her. She had already laid out her products on the table and was just waiting for customers to arrive, surfing the net.
