Dogs can be guard dogs, sheepdogs, or even work in place of humans, but cats don't have such an image. It is true that there is the word "guard dog", but I have never heard the word "guard cat". It is as if cats lack the spirit to work for humanity. The image that comes to my mind is of them spending their days lazily and comfortably under the protection of humans in exchange for their loving nature.

So when I saw a cat on the doorstep of a house I passed in Jakarta, it didn't look like it was protecting the chickens nearby at all. When I approached the chickens, the cat didn't intimidate me like a sheepdog, and it didn't seem to be interested in me as a person. While the cat was carefree and gazing off into the distance, the chickens were gathered together and lingering in the cat's blind spot, as if they were afraid of being preyed upon if the cat found them.

Then, this is what the situation is all about, isn't it? From the cat's point of view, they may just be having fun and playing, but from the chicken's point of view, they must be in a state of fear of being killed, or in other words, in a state of bullying in the human world.
