Shot at Khlong Toei Market in Bangkok, Thailand.
The living chickens moved around in the cages. Yet they didn't crow because it was late afternoon. They moved silently. When I came to a butcher, I found a man on the other side of the cage. A bed was placed there and the man was lying face-up on it. Folding arms above head, he was lazy and relax.
Judging from the situation, he was the storekeeper of this butcher. As contrasted with the chickens walking around busily the cage, he seemed to have a lot of time on his hands. His rippling stomach was seen. Although he screwed up his eyes to see me, he said nothing to me. He might understand I was not a customer as soon as he saw me.
