There was a shop at the end of the Bailan Market in Taipei, and next to it, a woman wearing a conical hat was setting up a stall. The woman's stall was separate from the one on the ground floor of the building, but she looked as if her stall was part of the store. She had her own basket casually placed right next to the table in the shop. But the woman's stall was probably separate from the shop.
However, there wasn't much left to sell in the woman's stall wearing a conical hat. All that was sold was a bunch of bananas and a few bamboo shoots. And the woman peddler had a bored look on her face as she rested her feet on a basket. She must have had nothing to do now that she had sold out. I watched the traffic in a daze.
Eventually, a female shopper wearing sunglasses appeared in front of the stall. She walked past without looking at the empty baskets of the stall. A stall with little to sell would be as good as non-existent to this shopper. The woman, wearing a conical hat, did not change her expression even though she was witnessing such a situation.
