I was wandering around Chenggong Market. This is a local market in Taipei that sells fresh food, sundries, and other daily necessities to the locals. Personally, I enjoy looking around markets that sell fresh food more than markets that sell general merchandise. When I look at industrial products, they are often made in China, but fresh foods show regional characteristics. For example, the variety of fruits sold in Taiwan is richer than in Japan, and there are fruits that are rarely sold in Japan. Such a sight makes you feel that you have come to a tropical country, and stirs up your travel spirit.
The fruit shop in the photo also sold a variety of fruits. Along with bananas, watermelons, apples, and mangoes, they also sold guavas, which are rarely seen in Tokyo. Although the name "guava" is common and well known to the Japanese, I have never seen guava itself on display in a supermarket or fruit shop. Perhaps guava is sold at high-end stores like Sembikiya, which I have no connection to.
In this way, a woman came to the fruit shop. She picked up a guava in the store and began to carefully evaluate them. It seems that she is carefully assessing which one is good to eat.
