The passageways were set out neatly in a grid in Thanlyin Myo Ma Market. So it was difficult to lose my way during walking around. A wide passage stretched in the center of the market. It seemed to be the main passage. The shops on both sides of the passage stretched out a canopy top to avoid the strong sun. And the shoppers came and went.
Unlike Bogyoke AungSan Market in Yangon, the articles for sale were not for the tourists. The foodstuffs and everyday items were sold here. During strolling, I had never seen other foreign tourists. All the shoppers were local people.
Interestingly, the shopping bags which the local people carried seemed to be the same. I felt as if the bag was rule-based. The woman in this photo also carried the same plastic shopping bag on her head.
