Bustling Roof

facade of temple

Many objects were placed on the roof

Shot at a temple dedicated to Mazu in Tainan, Taiwan.

I found a small deserted temple during rambling along the streets. It stood among the dwellings. In contrast with the situation, this temple had a long history. It was built in 1755. It pillars and roof were highly decorated. I thought it was too decorative a little.

When I directed my attention to it roof, I could see many statues. It was common to see some dragon on the roof here. Yet there were various statues on this roof. I saw people, monkeys, elephants and others along with some dragons here. The roof was bustling.
