It would be rude to say that the shrine's hall of worship was unexpectedly large. When I arrived at the front of the magnificent worship hall, I found two men who had already arrived to pay their respects. Behind them, a woman was waiting her turn.
The word "Anamori" in Anamori Inari Jinja literally means "to protect a hole." In the past, this area was often plagued by floods, and the name "Anamori" seems to have been derived from the wish to prevent holes from forming in the levees. Incidentally, it is interesting to note that the name was also popular among prostitutes, derived from the idea of "protecting holes."
