Of course, not only street vendors but also shops did business near my hotel. The shop in this photo was one of the shops I found near my hotel. It sold a kind of bread and others. Various kinds of bread were displayed at the counter.
Because this place was in the Chinatown, this shops might be also run by Chinese residents. I could see Chinese characters on some boxes placed in the showcase. Yet the appearance of the shop was not Chinese-style. It was not obvious at first glance. There were no signboards written in Chinese. Contrast to the other cities in Sothern Eastern countries, local Chinese seemed to fit in very well with Burmese.
Two women were in front of the counter. They wore the same red T-shirt. If I had to say, the color reminds me of the national flag of China. Anyway, they seemed to have nothing to do and chatted.
