If you look at Da Nyin Gone on Google Maps, you will see a place covered by a large roof. From the looks of it, it seems to be a place to open a market. But I could not actually enter the place. The place was surrounded by walls that prevented me from entering. There may be a plan to relocate the Da Nyin Gone market there, but when I visited, the stores were still operating in the old, battered market.
The road in Da Nyin Gone Market is not paved. It is bumpy. Parasols were placed in front of the stores, and goods were laid out under them. In contrast to the station platform, which was crowded with many vendors, the market was not crowded. Although this is supposed to be the main body of the market, the station had completely taken over the leading role, and a relaxed atmosphere was in the air.
A man in a red T-shirt was walking in front of me in the aisles of the market. He was carrying bulging plastic bags in both hands, cutting through the tranquil air. Perhaps he had come to stock up on merchandise, but this man seemed to be the only one working wisely in the midst of the laid-back market.
