The Mahachai station was unexpectedly easy to find. I proceeded along the shopping street that runs from the front of the ferry terminal, and after a short while, I was already at the station. Although we arrived at the station easily, the train to Bangkok had not yet arrived. The train connection was not good. Perhaps it is because they are not confident that the trains will run on time, or perhaps they have a schedule with a little leeway. Since there was no point in idly waiting at the station, I decided to take a walk around the area.
There were many stores around the station. Unlike in Mae Klong, here there are no people doing business on the tracks. I wandered around and looked at the goods being sold. The products were the same as those sold at any market, such as meat and vegetables. In the meantime, I came to a grocery store. There were vegetables on the table, and a customer was standing in front of it. She looked thoughtful for a moment, then, as if she had made up her mind, she picked up one of the vegetables and examined it.
