I was wandering around the Sampeng Market in Bangkok. Various small items are sold here, mainly sundries and accessories. It was like a combination of Shimojima and Yuzawaya in Tokyo. Stores were lined up on both sides of the street, and shoppers were walking through them as if they were weaving between them. There were even street vendors on the already crowded street. It was no wonder that people could not flow smoothly.
The woman in the photo is one of the street vendors at the Sampeng Market. The woman, who did not have a store in the building, was selling her wagon in front of another store. The wagon was haphazardly stacked with clothes and looked like a wagon sale. Sales did not seem to be going well, and the woman had a gloomy expression on her face. She was holding a plastic bag in her right hand and a skewer in her left. She was probably eating satay or something, but satay is not enough to lift her spirits. She was staring at her own product, pondering what to do with it.
