The area around Dihua Street is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Taipei. The street was lined with wholesale stores. However, they were also selling their wares at retail.
On the sidewalk in front of a shop I passed by, there were many boxes lined up and inside were sweets. This was a candy store. A woman holding a plastic bag in each hand stopped in front of one of the boxes. And she was looking at the sweets inside. She seemed to be contemplating whether she should buy them or not.
With so many different types of sweets on display, it was not easy to decide which one to buy. But the time spent pondering over which one to buy may be more blissful than the time spent buying and actually eating them.
