The fish shop, run by a man and a woman, seemed to be one of the most popular stores in the Yamuliao Market. Many customers lined up in front of the store, waiting their turn to buy fish. From the sight of this, it was easy to tell at a glance that the store was thriving.
The two fishmongers were working quickly and silently. They were so busy that there was no time to waste in idle chatter, and they were just working away at the fish and serving the orders. His skilled hands are superb, and there is absolutely no waste in his movements.
The customers in front of the store silently watch the fishmonger's hands. Their concentrated gazes made the fishmonger's hands feel as if they were spectators watching a magician's table magic. They seemed mesmerized by the fishmonger's movements.
One woman, however, was different. She was staring not at the fishmonger, but at me, camera in hand. The moment I noticed her gaze, it was as if a strange calmness flowed into the busy, bustling store.
