The market was a hub in this tranquil town, Kyauktan. Various goods were sold in the market and many local people came here to buy. So many pedicabs were parked in front of the market. It could be a nice place to get paid. The man in this photo was one of the pedicab drivers waiting for customers.
Unfortunately, there were not so many shoppers in the market. And he seemed to have nothing to do at that time. When I approached him, he sat up on his vehicle and started to look straight at me. He might think of me as a customer only for a minute. Yet he recalled himself to the present soon. He just kept watching me.
By the way, I saw a watery signboard on the other side of him. It belonged to a telecommunications services company called Telenor. Although it is a Norwegian company and I have never seen the logo in Japan, it seemed to set up a business enterprise in Myanmar.
