I continued walking along the Kyauktan road. After a while, I came to a store selling construction materials. The gate was open, and among the piles of bags of earth and sand piled up against the wall, the most conspicuous item was not construction materials but a bicycle cab. The bicycle cab was parked there with only its front wheels sticking out of the gate as if it were a designated parking space. It looked ready to leave at a moment's notice, with a driver perched on the seat.
The driver was relaxed and looking out at the deserted traffic. I am not sure what he was doing there. Whatever he was doing, the only thing we can be sure of is that he was relaxed. Even when I pointed the camera at him, he remained relaxed and didn't move an inch. He only smiled at me with a wry smile.
