I was heading for the Chinatown of Bangkok, I preferred to walk the narrow streets because it was not so interesting to walk the wide streets. When I walked the narrow streets, I often came to an unlikely place.
This time, I came to a local market. It was Sampheng market and was crowded with many people. The man in this photo was one of the persons working in the market. He was selling roasted chestnuts by the wayside. A big drum was placed and a heap of chestnuts were inside. And he was just seeing how the chestnuts were doing. His glance was craftsman's glance.
But then it occurred to me. I wondered how many hot roasted chestnuts could be sold in Bangkok in everlasting summer.
