Khlong Toei Market is not only spacious. I have only been here during the daytime, but this market is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. A city that never sleeps is called a "nightless city," and this is a nightless market. That said, there are no bars here that you might stop by in the middle of the night. All you can find are stores selling foodstuffs. What kind of people come here to buy food in the middle of the night? And when do the workers sleep? There are so many things I don't know.
The woman in the photo with glasses was sleeping on the table in front of the butcher store, as if she had been working hard. From the looks of it, she was exhausted rather than taking a break. The woman was sleeping soundly with her face toward the aisle where many shoppers were passing by.
In front of the woman was a cooking tray with ground meat inside. She was napping, but she was probably trying to get up to sell ground meat to customers when they arrived. But from the looks of things, it didn't seem as if she would be able to get up immediately when a customer arrived.
