Along with other stores selling vegetables and others, many fishmongers did business in the market. The town of Mae Klong was not facing the sea. Yet the Mea Klong river flew near the town. The fishes sold in this market might be caught in the river. The woman in this photo worked in one of the fishmongers. She was just cutting a fish. I didn't know what kind of fish it was.
That aside, I was interested in her work circumstances. The fish was put on the wooden chopping block. And the cutting board was placed in the plastic bucket. I wondered why she put the block in the bucket. Maybe it was too much work to clean up after cutting. The waste was gathered in the bucket spontaneously in this way of cutting.
