I took a side street to avoid the crowds from Rama IV Street, which was also littered with garbage. The stores were lined up on both sides of the street, which was not wide, and it looked like a market place. Every storefront had a variety of goods on display, and many shoppers were walking around. Contrary to my expectations, the street was quite busy. The store in the photo was on a busy street.
Chestnuts, ginkgo nuts, and lotus roots were lined up in front of the store. What is the name of such a store? It is not a grocery store because it does not deal in vegetables, nor is it a delicatessen because it does not sell prepared foods. It is not a delicatessen because it does not sell prepared foods. Chestnuts for sale are roasted, and ginkgo nuts are shelled and roasted. In contrast, lotus roots were still muddy and fresh.
A young man was taking orders at the store. The man was wearing the uniform of a German soccer team called Borussia Dortmund, to which Shinji Kagawa once belonged. The color was the same as the ginkgo nuts in the store.
