I walked near the Grand Palace in Bangkok. Many tourists were seen. Especially, Chinese group tourists were prominent. This was the evidence that China was emerging. Even the ordinary people gained enough money to travel abroad. When I came to Bangkok for the first time about 20 years ago, I didn't see any Chinese travelers in Bangkok.
The groups headed for the palace. And I walked toward a pier to cross the Chao Phraya river. Many shops were side by side of the street where I walked. Although the place was near the tourist attraction, the shops didn't sell the articles for sale for the tourists. The shop in this photo sold dried fishes. A big basket was placed in the storefront and many dried fished were displayed on it. And a weigh scale towered in the center of the basket.
