In the Yamuliao Market, along with stores selling fresh food, there are also a number of stores open for business offering light meals. As I wandered around the market, I grew hungry and decided to get something to eat. However, it was quite difficult to choose which restaurant to go to. The more I looked at the market, the more I was dazzled by all the delicious-looking food.

After a few moments of pondering, I decided to go to a small snack store. I sit down at a table and observe my surroundings while waiting for my food to be served. Nearby, I could see a woman deftly preparing a small snack. She was making “Bawan” (meatballs). It is a Taiwanese staple with a glutinous skin and juicy filling, and is also known in Japan as the squishy food that Chihiro's parents ate in the movie “Spirited Away".

Watching the woman's deftness made the wait for the food to be delivered seem like a blink of an eye.
