The rain stopped, so I left Phaya Lan station and started walking to Yangon Central Station. Although Phaya Lan Station and Yangon Central Station are connected by a railroad line, I did not know when the train would arrive. I decided to walk to the station. There was an interesting residential area near Yangon Central Station. I decided to visit there because I heard that the area around the central station of the largest city in the country is not a commercial area but an ordinary residential area.
When I arrived near the station, I found a row of restaurants and food stalls. All of them were old-fashioned. The atmosphere was not that of a downtown area, but that of a country town. Although Yangon is rapidly developing, the area near the central station is not developed and left behind by the times.
I stopped in front of a food stall and watched the stalls. Several bowls were laid out on a table. It was not time to eat, but the stall was crowded. A few people were sitting on chairs eating, and a boy was scratching his head, though I don't know why.
