A restaurant in Tainan. The tables and chairs in front of the bar were lined up on the sidewalk. I guess the sidewalk is part of the store here. It was before opening time, so there were still no people there. The air was deserted.
Yet, chopsticks, plates, bowls and teacups were already neatly laid out on the table. The bowls and teacups were placed upside down, ready to receive guests at any time. There seemed to be a strange sense of tension and calmness coexisting in the room.
I thought for a moment that I would like to be the first to enter the store, so I took a peek inside. Inside, the waitstaff seemed to be in the middle of preparing for the opening, and they were busily moving about. Even if I sat down at a table, it would take some time for the food to be brought to me. So, I decided to take a picture of the table and the teacups and leave the place.
