At the corner of Khlong Toei Market, there was a place where there was a row of grocery stores. This grocery store was one of them. Leaves like kale were piled up in layers on the table, and there was a price tag on leaves. Beside the table, a woman wearing an apron sat down. This woman was cheerful. When I held my camera up, she smiled as if to say, "I've been waiting for you," and gave me a peace sign with both hands. A double peace sign.
I could see the empty plate next to the price tag on the kale. Perhaps she had just finished her lunch. And maybe that's one of the reasons she was so cheerful. Most people are naturally in a better mood when they feel full. Considering this, I think that in order to rid the world of conflict, we should realize a world where people can eat with full stomachs. Well, that's not going to happen, and that's probably why there are people here and there who are ready to fight every day.
