Walking along Dihua Street, I came to a large building. It was very hot because I had been walking so much. I decided to enter the building to cool off. The inside of the building was air-conditioned and cool as I expected. This building is the Yongle Market.
Although this is said to be the largest market in Taiwan with many stores selling fabrics, the ground floor is like a food court with not only stores selling fabrics, but also food stores. The largest market attracts a large number of people, and where people gather, there are also stores to satisfy their stomachs.
All the food stores were crowded. It seemed difficult to find an empty table. I had planned to take a break if I could find an empty table, but I gave up and wandered around the food court. Some of the restaurants served sushi and were crowded. Seeing crowded sushi restaurants makes me realize that sushi has become a major cuisine in many countries.
Chinese cuisine includes Cantonese, Shanghai, Szechuan, and many other types of food, but it seems that the locals are not satisfied with just that. They have even added sushi to their extensive selection.
