The train took a trip north slowly. The car was not so crowded. Yet all the seats were occupied. Many passengers boarded. I hung on a strap and watched the scenery through the window silently. Like me, most of the passengers said nothing. No onboard announcements were heard.
In such a setting, some people let out their voices occasionally. They were peddlers. Some people brought their goods on the train and sold them on the train.
This time, I saw a female peddler coming from the next car. She carried a big tray on her head. What she sold were fried dough sticks and they were piled up on her tray. Besides, she also carried a plastic chair. When she got an order, she would execute an order while sitting on it. Seemingly, there were no passengers who were hungry. And she couldn't get any orders around me.
