I started walking through Chinatown again. As I made my way through the rows of stores selling foodstuffs, I came to a store that was even busier, with laughter echoing through the air. Looking toward the back of the store, I saw many women laughing as they worked. Attracted by the happy atmosphere, I walked up to them and they graciously beckoned me to come in.
In the kitchen, metal bats were placed here and there. On top of them were wooden sticks. These women were in the process of rolling some kind of white material onto the wooden sticks. When they finished rolling, the men were boiling the sticks in a big pot. However, I could not figure out what this white stuff was. It looks like some kind of internal organs or processed fish cakes. It is unknown to me.
The boiled white things are removed from the sticks and put on the shelves, so I guess they are foodstuffs. I had no idea what they were making, but there was a happy atmosphere in the kitchen, so there was no doubt that this restaurant was a pleasant place to work.
