The road was dusty due to construction. Construction materials were placed here and there along the road. Paving work was in progress. As I was walking through the dust, I saw a bicycle cab parked beside the construction materials. A young man wearing a cap was sitting on a very worn-out bicycle cab, his legs swinging. He was a bicycle cab driver waiting for customers.
Unlike in Yangon, I saw motorcycles in Bago. On the main road, there were motorcycles that appeared to be motorcycle cabs. However, once I entered a side street, motorcycle cabs disappeared, and their presence was felt by bicycle cabs, just as in Yangon. I guess more people use bicycle cabs for short distances than motorcycle cabs.
The young man who noticed my camera looked at it with a smile on his face. Upon closer inspection, I noticed a small plate attached to the front wheel of the bicycle cab. Perhaps the bicycle cab business is also registered.
