Walking down the street, I arrived at an elementary school. The school was quiet, with no children playing in the playground. As I casually entered the schoolyard and soaked in the quietness, children came running out into the schoolyard to see if their classes were over.
Recess time at an elementary school is a mere 10 minutes, but the children are full of energy and ready to play. Looking back on my own childhood, I wonder how I used to play soccer during such a short recess. A boy came running out, went into the shed standing beside the schoolyard, and grabbed the ball. Then another boy came and started holding the door of the shed from the outside. The boy with the ball wanted to go outside, but he could not open the door.
I don't know what they were doing together. Both boys were pushing each other happily. As I watched, I was worried that the short break time would end while they were pushing and shoving each other and that the class would start again.
