Bago is the central city of the Bago region. A market in the center of such a town would be a big market in this region. It is no wonder that people not only live in the neighborhood but also come from a little distance to buy here. Those who come from far away take a bus back home with their big bags. For this reason, a number of buses that looked like pickup trucks were parked near the market.
The vehicle in the photo is one such vehicle. It looks like a pickup truck with a cargo bed attached to the back of a motorcycle. Both passengers and their luggage are carried on the back of the motorcycle. Such vehicles that have been converted from motorcycles into trucks or buses are not uncommon in Myanmar. I think the idea is similar to that of tuk-tuks in Thailand. When I saw this vehicle, I did not see the driver nearby, so I guessed he was still waiting for the departure time. The vehicle was parked in the middle of the road, bathed in brilliant sunlight, waiting for its time to depart.
