The market aisle in Bago where I was walking was not originally a sales area. There were no booths set up anywhere that could be used as a sales floor. The aisles were just a long stretch of aisles, and people were sitting on the aisles and selling their products on the floor. The atmosphere was like an open-air market. The only difference is that there is a roof over the booths. Perhaps the buildings have not kept up with the expansion of the market.
The girl with long hair in this photo is one of those who were doing business in such an aisle. Like the others, she was sitting on the wall of the aisle and had vegetables for sale lined up in front of her. When I stopped in front of her, the girl was surprised to see a foreigner with a camera suddenly appear. Moreover, the lens was pointed at her. The girl began to be embarrassed. Although she did not refuse to take my picture, she did not look at the camera when I pointed it at her. The whole time she was smiling shyly with her eyes looking somewhere else for help.
