The market was not crowded. The street market just outside of this market was bustling and many local people came to buy. Yet the atmosphere was different here. The people worked without making a fuss. Seemingly, there were more staffs than shoppers.
Walking around the passages in the market, I came to a small store. Some big baskets were placed and one of them were filled with garlic. I saw two men wearing a longyi in the store. One was lazy and relax. While sat in the storefront, he watched a screen of his smartphone at leisure. And the other worked contrastively. He stood beside the basket and peeled garlic. He peeled one after another without saying a word. Garlic is a common spice in Burmese cuisine.
