Shot at a market in Yangon, Myanmar.
The market I walked around was not a tourist attraction. People I saw were locals. And most of them were adults. Unlike the streets in the downtown, the passages in the market was not a playground for kids. The market was the place to do a job. However, I met a few kids during stroll about. The girl in this photo was one of them. Maybe, she came to the market because her parents worked there.
When I came to the shop, she played with ropes displayed in the storefront. Her parents kept a store selling ropes and others. She got shy when she noticed me and my camera. And she started to conceal her face with a rope. Yet she peeped at me through a crevice. She got bashful and became curious at the same time.
