Many shops were open in this Bogyoke Aung San Market. However, the atmosphere in this market was different from other markets where I visited in this country. Most of the shops here sold souvenir for the tourists. Many bullion dealers, art dealerships, and artisanal product shops were there. So no shops sold the articles for daily use. My guidebook said this market was the best place to buy souvenirs.
Walking the corridor facing the Bogyoke Road. When I realized, a peddler came from over there. He carried various kinds of brooms. He was a broom seller. Watching him, I wondered he could sell his goods. Most of the people came here were foreign tourists. And they wanted to buy the proof of traveling an Asian country. I doubted that the travelers could imitate to buy such a thing which called up their daily lives.
