The Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall with a huge Hall in Taipei has a cloister along the wall of the site. And the old people are relaxing in the corridor. It seemed to be a place for the elderly to relax. Some of them were playing Go and Chinese chess.
From the outside, they did not look like they had come to pay a visit to the memorial hall dedicated to the former dictator, Chiang Kai-shek. For whom this facility was built was of no consequence to the old people. I think they just want a quiet place to relax and be in the shade. And I suppose this is the perfect place to relax.
