Two men with a lot of luggage were leaning against the fence, waiting for the boarding time
It had been a long time since I had been to the international terminal at Haneda Airport. After hurriedly completing the immigration procedures, I walked down the straight corridor. The corridor was long. The boarding gate for my flight seemed to be at the far end of the terminal. As I approached the boarding gate I was aiming for, I saw two men standing at the end of the hallway. Silhouetted against the brightly lit window, they must be people on the same plane.
Next to them were carts with bags on them. They were leaning against the fence, watching the runway outside the large glass wall, as they planned to bring a lot of luggage on board. Occasionally, a newly landed airplane would cross the street. Watching them made me feel like I was traveling.
