Woman working at food stall

The woman stopped working

Shot in the city of Yangon, Myanmar.

Many food stalls were doing business near Botataung Paya, a Buddhist temple. The pans in the stalls were giving off steam. And the delicious smell was wafting around the place.

The woman in the photo was working at one of them. She was selling noodles called Mohinga. When she noticed me, she stopped working. And she started to look straight at me while she held a bowl in her hand. I felt uneasy whether the noodles in the bowl absorbed too much water.
