The alley was messy and cluttered everywhere I looked. Styrofoam boxes were stacked on the sides, and motorcycles were parked haphazardly in some places. Even in the market, with its intricate narrow aisles, this place had the atmosphere of a back street. It was as if another time was passing, different from the front face of the market.
As I was walking down the alley, a motorcycle approached me from the other side. The rider was a man in rough clothes. He was in no particular hurry and was moving slowly down the alley.
The man eventually stops his bike in front of a certain store. However, he does not get off the bike, but remains in the same position, staring intently into the store. A grim expression could be read from his profile. He did not call out to the clerk, nor did he ask any questions. He just stared at the inside of the store.
This silent figure seemed to be pondering something. I don't know what it was. But that one brief scene seemed to add a bit of tension to the chaotic atmosphere of this back street.
