A father and son were sitting side by side in the deserted Shuixian Temple Market, looking like they were having fun
The Shuixian Temple Market in Tainan was dimly lit and the stores lining the alleys were all closed. The shutters of all the stores were down, and the market was very quiet. The lanterns hanging from the ceiling glowed sadly. As I walked through the market, I saw a table at the end of an alley.
A parent and child was sitting at a table together. The son was holding a portable game console with both hands, and the father sitting beside him was holding a smartphone. I couldn't tell what they were doing together. But they looked happy. I felt as if I had suddenly found a scene of a family reunion in a corner of a deserted alley.
