While waiting for a traffic light at a crosswalk, a motorcycle stopped quietly. It was a motorcycle with a boy and his mother on it. The boy was sitting slightly behind his mother with his little hand around her waist. It seemed to indicate that for most boys, the safest place to be is right behind their mothers.
The mother, wearing a polka-dot skirt, stared intently at the signal. Her serious profile seemed as if she had no time to pay attention to anything else. The boy, on the other hand, seemed to have suddenly noticed my presence. He glanced at me with a sideways glance. His eyes were wary, as if he was looking at something fishy.
As I stood there, receiving such a gaze, I stood still. When the light eventually turned green, the mother lightly turned the gas pedal and the bike glided off. They passed by in a flash, leaving only the boy's quizzical look on my face as a small reminder.
