Although there are many motorcycles on the road, most of them are not the serious motorbikes that racers ride. Taiwanese people prefer to ride what is known in Japan as a "motorized bicycle." They are easy to use for getting around town, and they are fuel-efficient.
As I was walking along a large street in front of Fort Provintia in Tainan, I saw two motorcycles. They were similar motorbikes. Perhaps they were the same model. That did not necessarily mean that the drivers were friends. The motorcycles drove away slowly, keeping a certain distance from each other.
