While walking down a corridor in the Myo Ma Market in Thanlyin, I noticed a staircase leading to the second floor. This building had two floors. I went upstairs by myself, uninvited, and found that the second floor also had an outside corridor, but while the corridor on the first floor faced the street outside, the corridor on the second floor faced the inside of the market, giving me a clear view of the straight passageway that led into the market. People were coming and going at a leisurely pace. It was probably not a busy time of the day. There were only a few people coming and going.
It was not raining, but some people were walking with umbrellas to avoid the strong sunlight. People in Myanmar often wear brightly colored clothes. The same can be said for umbrellas, and often one sees brightly colored umbrellas. While I was gazing, a woman appeared in the aisle below me. She was holding an umbrella, and the umbrella was, as one would expect, a bright purple color. The woman walked slowly toward the end of the aisle. The purple umbrella looked very nice in the sunlight.
